Steampunk Hat with automation

This is Steampunk artist Gary Sullivan’s latest creation; a Steampunk top hat with moving parts. It incorporates moving clock gears and a lid that opens and closes as it puffs steam. It is made from vintage pieces and found materials.

  9. No, it is not a Stirling engine. Fact is, the motion is powered by two small 9 volt motors. The “steam” is produced by dry ice.  G.S.

  10.  While in operation, the brain wave enhancer limits the subject’s ability to smile. This phenomenon is due to the extreme pain that is felt by the subject as the 10 pound device compresses his neck vertebrae.
