‘Van Rennes 1878′ This engine is a model of the ‘Van Rennes’ water-cooled engine from 1878. It has been modified for air-cooling because I prefer air-cooled engines. This has been a very laborious task with a lot of lathe-work and filing (the fly-wheel). It has been made with a large number of ball-bearings and bearings, 15 in all, to enable this engine to run on a tea-warmer.
